BG Industry makes the heat‑shrink joints for the field joints of pre‑insulated district heating pipes. The material is casing‑grade HDPE PE 100 polyethylene, sealed with butyl mastic. The butyl‑sealed heat‑shrink joint is type‑tested to EN‑489‑1:2019 at the Veolia Energy Warsaw testing laboratory (PCA accreditation AB 414). The type test was carried out on the joint assembly at casing diameters Dc 250 mm and Dc 160 mm. The range runs DN 90 – DN 450.

Three type-tested joint constructions

All three are type-tested to EN‑489‑1:2019 at the Veolia Energy Warsaw laboratory. The choice depends on whether the joint is foamed on site and whether you want a welded joint as well.
